HOW SHOULD WE STAND UP FOR OUR PROPHET'S HONOUR

That blasphemous film insulting our beloved Prophet Muhammad (sallalahun alaihi wasallam) has created a huge uproar in the Muslim world and it has left us Muslims terribly hurt and furious about the shameless attacks  on our Prophet Muhammad (sallalahun alaihi wasallam). Having to endure insults of this form has really left all of us bruised and we have the right to feel hurt and angry. But, being patient is more important that being angry.

I'm not saying we shouldn't protest this. We should, but not in a barbaric manner because that's exactly what the Kuffar and those supporting that disgusting movie expects of us. If we put so much as a toe out of the line, they'd be all ready to pounce on us and create an excuse to again, bring Muslims in the wrong light, portraying Islam as a religion that encourages violence. Is this what we want?

The sensible way to go about this is by making Dua to Allah. Make Dua that Allah either guides those terrible people who created the most disgusting film imaginable about Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wasallam)- a person all Muslims love more than anything else in this world. We can choose to either pray for their guidance or pray that Allah gives them the punishment they so deserve and make their death a humiliating one, a death that would prove to be a sign and warning for all those who are plotting similar attacks against Islam and our Prophet (sallalahu alaihi wasallam).

I know what I'm going to say next might anger a lot of you'll and it's only natural that you'll may be angered, but think of it in this light: Umar (ral) came with the firm determination and will of killing Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wasallam), but see how he ended up, Subhanallah! Now, he's buried right next our Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wasallam) and the honour he received in this world was such that he was promised Jannah. Now, I'm not saying that terrible person who created that movie was anything like Umar (ral)- no way! What I'm trying to say is that Allah works in mysterious ways and He'll give guidance and Islam to those He will. If Allah wills, even those people could embrace Islam.

This is just a thought though, and I'd really rather see the one who made this movie and everyone who was with him be punished by Allah. But as Muslims, it's our duty to pray for Hidayath, for their guidance. It's up to you though- you can choose to pray for them or ask Allah to punish them. It's up to you. (Personally, I pray that Allah either guides him or punishes him, and honestly, I make the latter part of the Dua more sincerely).

MashaAllah, so many Islamic foundations around the world has taken it upon themselves to distribute the biography of Muhammad (sallalahun alaihi wasallam) to people free of charge, and this is really the kind of move we all should be making. This is what's smart, and this is what we should be doing. I also saw a few pictures of Muslims praying in front the the US embassies in their respective countries, and this is MashaAllah, another good move. Nothing would exasperate the Kuffar more than our prayers and our Duas, so make sure you pray, pray, pray and make Dua, Dua, Dua. Right in front of them, so that they'd understand, and fear our Duas.

This is what Thomas Carlyle, The English philosopher & the Nobel Prize winner, has to say about Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wasallam) in his book Heroes:

"It is very shameful for any individual in this era to listen to what is said about the religion of Islam being a fabrication and Muhammad being a treacherous fabricator. Throughout his life we see him holding firm beliefs, sincere in resolve, generous and kind, compassionate, pious, virtuous, very serious. In spite of that, he was easy-going, cheerful, friendly, and even sometimes light-hearted. He was just, sincere in intention, smart, chivalrous, and quick-witted, as if he carried in his heart the lamps of every dark night, filled with light; a naturally great man who never studied in school or at the hand of a teacher, because he had no need of that."

You want to know how Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wasallam) would have wanted us to react? See this Hadith that has been recorded in Saheeh Muslim:

"The Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) spoke the truth when he said: “How wonderful is the situation of the believer, for all his affairs are good. If something good happens to him, he gives thanks for it and that is good for him; if something bad happens to him, he bears it with patience, and that is good for him. This does not apply to anyone but the believer.”

May Allah pour forth on us patience and inspire us to behave in a way He (SWT) and our beloved Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wasallam) would've been proud of!

Dear Muslims, this is the time, now more than ever, where we have to stand up for Islam, for protecting our Deen and for upholding the honour of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wasallam). Let's stand together as one Ummah, and show the Kaafirs that any stone they hurl our way is only going to ricochet back at them. Let's show them our spirit, our strength, our trust in Allah and our love for Allah, Islam and Prophet Muhammad (sallalahu alaihi wasallam) is ONE!

“For he who hates you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), he will be cut off (from posterity and every good thing in this world and in the Hereafter)”
[Al Quran 108:3]

  2. Masha Allah. I made dua that they be guided and that the others are guided too.
Allah surely works in mysterious ways.

May Allah bless all of us.
Dua is our weapon...we CAN help all our brothers and sisters in Palestine and Burma only with our dua.

    jazakAllah. :)

  3. assalamualaikum wa rahmatulahi wa barakatu sissy!!!

GREAT POST....and i completely agree...we should not be promoting violence, Islam is in a bad spotlight as it is...this dirty low life who created the film just wants to spark an outrage from the Muslims..and look now he is famous because of this...if the Muslims ignored it and instead took another route like educating everyone who doesn't know about our beloved nabi, that would be more effective. Allah is testing us to see how we would react as an Ummah....so far...this is far from the teachings of our beloved nabi!!! happy to see that you posted about this!

please do check out my rant as well!!
